Oh blogging, how we've missed you. We're back and feeling more re-energised than ever before. Firstly, we must apologise for our absence on our blog over the past couple of weeks but never fear, we're back to it with a fresh, new mindset and a huge chunk of imagination and post inspiration. The start of a new college year has entailed plenty of work and very little time, it's been extremely hectic which left us with no other choice but to, unfortunately, take a break from blogging. As many of you know, we previously had a blog post schedule for every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday although due to lack of time on our hands, this time round, we aren't a hundred percent confident if that's going to continue but of course, we shall let you know once we have finalised our decision. As for now, we're going to post where and when possible!
Poor amounts of time and sky-high piles of work wasn't our only reason that we decided to break away from our blog for a while, lack of motivation and inspirational content had also became a huge issue too. However, we've had time to process how and what we can do to become the best bloggers we can be, so what better way than for us to share with you all, our freshly thought-out tips, tricks and advise on how to prevent blog-breaks, keep motivated and of course, avoid lack of inspiration.
Write everythaaaaang down
This was one of our biggest blogger errors, we'd always forget to write our ideas down then BAM, they'd be completely forgot about and never to be remembered again. We've learnt that even dotting notes down on our phones or creating little to-do lists is severely important in remaining motivated and inspired, ensuring blog pictures have been taken and you have rough ideas for several future posts, it really is amazing how a few words scribbled down can help determine how smoothly your blog runs.
Get ahead of yourself
It may not seem a big deal to draft out posts in advance but as soon as your college work, job hours or homework starts piling up, you'll soon starting panicking, wishing that spare five minutes you had, hadn't of gone to such waste. Even if you're just one or two posts ahead of schedule, honestly, every little helps. Leaving drafts to the last minute really can dampen your content strength and quality, so its ultra important to use your time wisely and efficiently to ensure your posts outcome is the best it can be.
Importance of Interaction
Whether you're newbies or have been settled for a while in the blogging community, interacting and having good communication skills with other bloggers can really help and improve your success rate of being a blogger, not only for page-views or followers but for motivational and inspirational purposes too. Having a good bond with varied types of bloggers is super important, once you have built a strong bond, you can communicate your blogging struggles with each other and they may offer a helping hand. You may find that, more than likely, most bloggers have been in the same position as you, at some point throughout their blogging period, so asking even the simplest of questions like, 'Where do you gain your inspiration from?' or 'How do you stay motivated and focused?', really can help you to get back on track and to achieve better things, not only for your blog but for yourself too.
Shop Browse till you drop
Just to exaggerate this point, this does NOT mean cloning and that being a copy-cat is the way to go...although, browsing and gaining inspirational ideas for a future post can really help. Ask for blog links or youtube links on your social media to get your creative juices flowing and your mind working over-time. Even if it's a pair of boots you end up lusting over on someones blog and decide to do a 'how to style' post, at least it's something a little different to trial out. Trust us, it really does help.
Instagram, Tumblr or Pintrest it
You'd be pleasantly surprised at how much images and gifs can inspire you, whether its for your blogging pictures or an idea for a post. OOTD, FOTD, NOTD...FOOD OF THE DAY, HOW-TO OF THE DAY, everything of the day. There's so much to look at, after-all a picture really is worth a thousand words.
We're so excited and glad to be back!
