Real Technique Brushes

For todays post I thought I would review an essential in the make up bag that often gets overlooked. This is of course the make up brushes. I have four real technique brushes and counting. When they first made an appearance on the shelves I knew I had to try them and had heard good things. My old make up brushes were looking worn and needed updating. It was the best decision I had made, and is a good high street price if you don't have hundreds of pounds to splash out on designer brushes.

I have the foundation, concealer, powder and retractable kabuki brushes. Before finding these brushes, I wouldn't consider using anything to apply my foundation and concealer other than my fingers. They are great because you can use less product as the brushes do not absorb the foundation or concealer, so what you put on the brush actually reaches your face! The foundation brush is angled which is great to cover every angle of your face evenly.
The powder brush was the first of the real technique collection that I purchased and I instantly fell in love. It was soft on the face compared to other powder brushes I have used and they all have white tips on the brushes so you can see how much product you have on the brush and know when they're clean.
The most recent addition to my collection is the retractable kabuki brush, but I haven't had chance to try this one yet. It's compact and perfect for a handbag size make up bag. If it's anything as good as the other brushes then I will be happy! You can pick up the brushes from stores such as superdrug and boots for around £8-12 each and there are also sets too.

inthestyle.co.uk haul

inthestyle has recently taken the social media world by storm and is currently one of my favourite brands that I would love to keep a secret but have to share with you all. The first purchase I made was the green Alana swing dress which I instantly fell in love with, you also receive a 10% discount on your first order which is always a bonus! I ordered this in the boxing day sales and of course only paid £9 (excluding delivery) which is an amazing price for a lovely casual dress. It is a flattering fit for all body types and looks great with a leather jacket and ankle boots. I simply love all of the clothes they have to offer and they are all at reasonable prices. Of course my favourite collection is nostalgia which is endorsed by Charlotte Crosby from Geordie Shore.

I have made three new additions to my wardrobe recently. In their 14 day giveaway to launch the new season collection from nostalgia I won the 'just do it later' slogan tee which is so comfortable and perfect for a Sunday lounging in the house, paired with some leggings or to tuck into a pair of high waisted jeans for a casual look. I then purchased an 'I'm a cloud' jumper from the nostalgia range and a Natasha high neck monochrome stripe dress. My sister also ordered a 'nothing to wear' jumper and a 'I've got your back' slogan tee. The jumpers are a lovely fit and also slightly baggy so they look great with leggings or skinny jeans, perfect for a casual day out (I often find that I wear my jumper to sixth form). The dress that I ordered is gorgeous, its so simple yet so flattering. I am a size 10 but played it safe and ordered a 12 and it was a perfect fit! I have a growing collection of casual dresses in my wardrobe and this is definitely one of my favourites...I tend to style this look with my leather jacket and a pair of ankle boots. My sister is in love with her slogan tee, which is a similar fit to the one that I won, so therefore its great for wearing on a Sunday and also with a pair of jeans or leggings.

Thanks inthestyle for another successful order, I cannot wait to order more!
