August Favourites

Unfortunately, Summer is over, the nights are getting darker and the days cooler which is bound to give anyone the blues but first, let's reminisce about what made our August a good one for 2015.

Alexandra;

1. The Bad Education Film

Me and my boyfriend knew we had to go and see this as soon as we saw the advert for the first time. It was a good film with Jack Whitehall and the crew delivering the laughs like they do best, although it will never beat the series in my opinion.

2. Argan oil heat protect

This was recommended by my hairdresser and with it retailing for only a £1 I knew it was worth giving it a go! It smells nice, unlike some other products, keeps your hair feeling soft and healthy and boosts your hair rather than ruining it. It can be used before blow drying on wet hair or styling on dry hair. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

3.Vaseline Cocoa butter moisturiser

I thought I would give a new body moisturiser a try and I love this! It dries really fast and gives the skin a smooth feel. I do think that the formula is slightly thicker than I would like, but at such a cheap price and great for sensitive skin, I cannot complain.

4. Brown cut out bag
I think I actually bought this at the end of July but I'm not sure so its being sneaked in..sssh! This is a lovely tote with two buttons on either side to secure it. It has plenty of space and a smaller zip pocket on one side for your phone, it's great for just going shopping or for a day trip.

5. Micellar water

As I said in one of my previous posts where I discovered micellar water, it is amazing! If you don't own some already, you should definitely add it to your skin care routine...Check out my recent post for more information.

Soph;

1. The oversized denim shift

I originally brought this denim number from Pretty Little Thing for my dads 50th summer party but I could wear this all year round as its so versatile. I can dress it up or wear it casually, my favourite purchase of the summer for sure, at only £20 too, I can hardly complain!

2. Pixars 'Inside Out'

I'm a big fan of Disney Pixar films so when my little sister started pestering me to see the newly released InsideOut, I could hardly refuse. The film has such a heart-felt meaning, whether you're young or 'old' InsideOut is sure to bring out your inner child so if you haven't seen this film yet it's definitely a must see!

3. Elegant Touch totally bare stiletto falsies 003

As many of you know I'm a level 3 Beauty therapist trainee so I'm a huge fan of testing out new products and this summer I've been raving about Elegant Touch Totally Bare nails. Although I don't tend to wear false nails myself, my sister is a huge user and asked if I could trial them on her (as shown below) and I must say I fell in love! They're so easy to apply and you can design them which ever way you'd like, whether that be with polish or applying nail art on to them, they really are a blank canvas. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

4. Dove 'Essential Nourishment' hand cream

I must admit I'm a bit of a newbie to Dove products and very rarely ever consider buying their products, no idea why as this hand cream is a must for me and my dry hands. My hands have never felt so smooth and nourished, I can't wait to see how well it competes with winter!

5. Topshop Denim Jacket

I've been the biggest lover of denim for the whole of this summer and I hope it shall continue because seriously, I can't get enough of it. My denim jacket is most definitely one of my main staples in my wardrobe and goes with anything and everything, I love versatile pieces and this is a sure favourite of mine.
